Former and current Chip Ganassi Racing IndyCar drivers will strengthen Meyer Shank Racing's Acura GTP crew lineup for the 24 Hours of Daytona and the subsequent IMSA SportsCar Championship enduro.
Current IndyCar champion Alex Palou and his Ganassi teammate Scott Dixon will compete within the five races that make up the Michelin Endurance Cup with MSR, while MSR IndyCar rider Felix Rosenqvist might be available exclusively at Daytona.
Dixon and Rosenqvist will join Tom Blomqvist and Colin Braun, who won the primary race of the brand new GTP era at Daytona with MSR in 2023, while Palou will partner Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly at Sebring, Watkins Glen, Indianapolis and Petit Le Mans.
MSR returns to IMSA in 2025 after taking a break from the 2024 campaign, with Wayne Taylor Racing and Andretti running two factory Acura ARX-06s.
However, WTR/Andretti's switch to Cadillac to take over duties from Chip Ganassi Racing because the GM brand's factory squad in IMSA has opened the door for MSR to return to the brand with which it won the 2022 IMSA DPi crown.
Dixon and Palou use engines from Acura's sister brand, Honda, in IndyCar, which eased their transition from Ganassi's now-defunct Cadillac GTP program with van der Zande.
Palou made his Le Mans debut last yr in a Ganassi-driven Cadillac V-Series.R, ending seventh, and likewise joined the team for his second Daytona appearance.

Dixon won in his last appearance for Cadillac at Petit Le Mans and has three previous victories at Daytona in 2006, 2015 and 2020; the latter alongside van der Zande.
Rosenqvist was previously Dixon's IndyCar teammate at Ganassi in 2019-20, before spending three years with Arrow McLaren before joining MSR in 2024. He has previously began 3 times at Daytona, with the Swede's last two appearances coming on LMP2 machinery .
Palou was expected to take the IndyCar seat vacated by Rosenqvist at Arrow McLaren for 2024, but opted to stay with Ganassi and duly won his third title.
“Having Felix join us for the 24th edition made sense,” said team principal Michael Shank, whose team won at Daytona in 2012, 2022 and 2023.
“He's really come into his own in IndyCar and I feel he could be a big asset for us in IMSA.
“It's obvious that Scott knows what he's doing in IMSA endurance events, and it's really cool to finally have him on board in spite of everything these years.
“Alex is another rider who knows what it takes in the GTP category and is obviously achieving great results in IndyCar.”
