The 21-year-old Briton led all 75 laps, crossing the road 3.3406 seconds ahead of championship rival Jacob Abel. Yuven Sundaramoorthy, Abel’s rookie Abel Motorsports teammate, finished third, earning his first profession Indy NXT podium.
This is Foster's sixth victory of the season, extending his lead over Abel (491-400) in the general standings to 91 points.
“Yeah, I thought we had a really good car today,” Foster said.
“Of course, it's a shame Jamie (Chadwick) couldn't be with me today. I believe we each would have finished 1-2 in that race. You know, Andretti gave us an awesome automobile.
“I really got going at the start and then when I realised my pace was really strong we just slowed down a lot; I was saving my tyres halfway through the race. And then when the yellow flag came out I knew it wasn't the best thing in the world but I knew we had a good car and we could pull away again.”
Race
Foster led the sector to the green flag on lap two, after the beginning was aborted following contact between Taylor Ferns and Jack William Miller, who ultimately retired from the race with damage.
As the sector headed into Turn 1, Myles Rowe spun while attempting to get three wide on the surface of Salvador De Alba Jr and Reece Gold, taking ninth place. Fortunately, Rowe managed to avoid contact, but suddenly stalled on the track with a suspected driveshaft issue in his No. 99 HMD Motorsports Force Indy automobile.
The restart on lap 7 proved short-lived as Caio Collet and Chadwick, each battling for second place, collided on the straight. Replays showed Collet sliding barely downhill, pushing into Chadwick together with his left rear wheel, causing each to hit the within wall. Chadwick's No. 28 Andretti Global automobile was pinned against the wall, while Collett's No. 18 HMD Motorsports automobile suffered a broken front wing, in addition to major suspension damage. Race control ultimately penalized Collet, deeming the incident as avoidable contact.
The contact moved Abel into second, just behind Foster, with debutants Christian Brooks and Callum Hedge moving as much as third and fourth, while fellow first-year Sundaramoorthy finished fifth.
The green flag returned on lap 17, Foster was racing ahead of Abel and Sundaramoorthy managed to maneuver into fourth by passing Hedge. The next lap saw a side-by-side battle between Abel and Brooks for second, with the previous holding on to maintain his position, while Foster built up a 2-second lead on lap 22.
Foster’s dominance of the sector grew and on lap 30 he prolonged his result in over 3.3 seconds.
After extensive repairs, Collet returned on lap 33.
Hedge narrowly avoided a collision, spinning out of Turns 1 and a couple of while running sixth, but managed to save lots of his No. 17 HMD Motorsports automobile from the wreck, continued racing, and dropped to eighth on lap 36.
As Foster built up a lead that grew to 4.5 seconds by lap 47, De Alba Jr. passed Brooks for fourth in Sundaramoorthy’s No. 22 Abel Motorsports automobile.
By lap 52, Foster's lead had been reduced to three.5 seconds, however it was completely erased when the yellow flag got here out the next lap following Josh Pierson's crash at Turn 4.

Foster remained unchallenged until the checkered flag, while Abel took second and Sundaramoorthy took third. De Alba Jr. finished fourth.
On the ultimate lap, Hedge and Brooks were once more locked in a parallel battle, with Hedge passing them at Turn 3 for fifth, while Brooks dropped to seventh after rookie Bryce Aron managed to pass him for sixth.
