Motorsport.com understands that Sacha Fenestraz is able to return to Super Formula in 2025 with Toyota's flagship TOM'S team.
The French-Argentine driver is to switch Ukyo Sasahara within the number 37 TOM'S automotive as a part of a wider agreement with Toyota that may even see him race in SUPER GT next season.
Fenestraz admitted in an interview with Motorsport.com following the news that Nissan will replace him in Formula E with Norman Nato, and that a return to Japanese motorsport is his more than likely option.
Both Toyota and Nissan are understood to have made offers to Fenestraz to race in Super Formula and SUPER GT, which he raced in between 2020 and 2022 before moving to Formula E.
Nissan's Japanese division – almost completely separate from its European Formula E operations – was prepared to supply Fenestraz a spot on the factory NISMO SUPER GT squad and his former Super Formula position with Kondo Racing.
However, Fenestraz's dissatisfaction at the tip of his Formula E tenure, with Nissan sacking him two years before the tip of his contract, is believed to have contributed to his reunion with Toyota.

Sasahara's immediate future in Super Formula is unclear after a difficult season by which he did not rating points while his teammate Tsuboi took the title.
However, he has been linked with a second-place finish at Kondo Racing and will be given a probability to audition to switch incumbent Kazuto Kotaka, who has had a similarly difficult yr.
Few other changes are expected within the Toyota stable, with Inging, KCMG and Rookie Racing teams searching for unchanged lineups.
Team Impul are prone to promote Toyota junior Hibiki Taira to full-time driver after he was called up to switch the seat vacated by Theo Pourchaire for 3 weekends this yr.
Fraga is the favourite to switch Yamamoto at Nakajima Racing
Igor Fraga has emerged as the favourite to take over the seat vacated by three-time champion Naoki Yamamoto, who announced his departure from Super Formula earlier this month.
Gran Turismo esports star Fraga spent this season as a reserve driver for Nakajima Racing, which comes after resuming his real racing profession in Super Formula Lights in 2023 and within the lower-class GT300 SUPER GT.
The former Red Bull junior had already won the Toyota Racing Series in 2020, beating current Formula 1 drivers Liam Lawson and Franco Colapinto to the title, but was released from the energy drinks giant's program after only one season following a difficult FIA Formula 3 campaign.
He then spent two seasons focusing solely on his virtual racing before moving to Japan, where he was born right into a Brazilian family and spent the early a part of his life.
Fraga is able to drive for Nakajima Racing at next month's rookie test at Suzuka, which may very well be considered a final audition for promotion to racing driver.

Elsewhere, it looks like Ayumu Iwasa will remain with Team Mugen for a second season, although the team's partnership with Red Bull is coming to an end.
Iwasa finished fifth overall in his debut season, and between his commitments with Red Bull's F1 teams, he had three second-place finishes, which included a primary appearance with RB in the primary practice at April's Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka.
Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko previously stated in an interview with the Japanese edition of Motorsport.com that he expects Iwasa to stay in Super Formula in 2025.
Meanwhile, Honda junior Shun Koide could get a probability to step as much as Super Formula next yr as he leads the Super Formula Lights standings with one round remaining.
Koide appears to be a candidate to switch Iori Kimura at B-Max Racing, although there remains to be a possibility that he will probably be in Nakajima Racing's plans.
The lineups for Suzuki's rookie test, which can happen on December 11-13, will likely clearly indicate who will ride where in 2025.
Kamui Kobayashi is predicted not to check for KCMG on the FIA awards gala in Kigali, Rwanda, although it looks likely he’ll proceed to race for the team.
