Arrow McLaren, which has already established next 12 months's line-up with Pato O'Ward, Christian Lundgaard and Nolan Siegel, confirmed the news in an announcement:

“Arrow McLaren will undergo its scheduled assessment test with Enzo Fittipaldi at The Thermal Club on Tuesday, November 19,” the statement read. “Every lap in our cars is essential as we proceed to arrange for the 2025 NTT IndyCar Series season, and we’re proud at hand it over to Enzo, whose family is so closely related to the history of McLaren Racing.

“We would like to take the lessons learned and apply them in the form of a points race at The Thermal Club IndyCar Grand Prix on March 23. To clear up any doubts, our 2025 squad is strong with Pato, Nolan and Christian.”

Enzo, the grandson of two-time Formula 1 world champion and two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Emerson Fittipaldi, can also be the brother of Pietro Fittipaldi. Pietro is the reserve driver for Haas F1 Team, who just accomplished his first full-time IndyCar season with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing.

This shall be only the second appearance of Enzo, the 2018 Italian Formula 4 champion, on the wheel of IndyCar. In October 2023, he accomplished laps at Sebring International Raceway for Dale Coyne Racing, sharing the track along with his brother Pietro, who was testing for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing on the time.

The upcoming test with Arrow McLaren is scheduled for November 19 just outside Palm Springs, California, the location of the $1 million event, a non-points IndyCar Series exhibition, earlier within the 2024 season. Then on March 23, 2025, The Thermal Club will host the track championship round of the premier North American open-wheel champion.
