Daily Races in Gran Turismo 7: All for One 3

It's a really spicy week in Gran Turismo 7 There might be day by day racing this week, with all three events featuring racing machines – and top-of-the-range ones at that.

Daily Races are the major ranked multiplayer events in GT7. Your Driver Rating (DR) and Sportsmanship Rating (SR) are based in your performance and are updated after each race. They are used to find out your position within the rankings and leagues for the sport's major esports series each season.

This doesn't at all times apply to the A race, and again this week it doesn't include any DR updates. However, your SR can still be affected – by how clean or otherwise your race is – so watch out to not spend an excessive amount of time on this in case your SR is beneficial, as there's not much to achieve when it comes to rating otherwise.

It's a reasonably enjoyable game though, featuring a straightforward five-lap sprint across the Deep Forest in Gr.4 machines on Racing Hard tyres. You can select any automotive from this GT4-like category of stripped-down road cars with track-ready upgrades, and it looks like AWD vehicles are the major selection this week.

This week's B race goes to be an exhilarating one as you head to Fuji International Speedway for a five-lap race in Class 3 cars.

Again, any vehicle on this class is allowed so long as it has Racing Medium tyres, so pick your favourite option and ensure that it’s covered in the precise rubber. You’ll need something with loads of top end to benefit from the large straight, and the Huracan is proving to be a well-liked option this week. Just don’t drive like Nicholas Capa…

That leaves Race C, which is able to see the rare Gr.1 category and might be a tactical race on the fast Monza circuit in Italy.

Gr.1 covers a wide selection of vehicles, from classic Group C race cars, through several eras of top-class Le Mans cars (excluding LMGT1/LMGTP, that are in Gr.2), through to modern Hypercars and even an imagined way forward for the category in the shape of some Vision GT cars.

Whatever your selection – and plainly 2016 cars are the most well-liked – you have to to equip yourself with Racing Soft tyres for this 11-lap race.

The race also has a compulsory pit stop. This requires that you just pit in some unspecified time in the future between the tip of lap one and the beginning of lap 11 inclusive. You don't need to refuel or buy tires, however the soft tires don't like being forced to do 44 laps, so fresh rubber is an excellent idea.

Failure to stop for a pit stop will end in a one-minute penalty after the race. Also, watch out to not obstruct the entry and exit of the pit lane – either of those could cost you a three-second penalty that you’ll need to serve on target.

To access Daily Races, you should unlock Sport Mode by completing Menu Book 9 (“Championship: Tokyo Highway Parade”) within the single-player hub GT Cafe. A PlayStation Plus subscription is required to participate.

WITH GT7Daily Races are updated every Monday for the lifetime of the sport. By now, a brand new set of races must be out on Monday, September sixteenth.
