Gianmaria Bruni will race a Porsche 963 LMDh in 2025 despite losing his factory contract with the German manufacturer after signing with JDC-Miller MotorSports within the IMSA SportsCar Championship.
The four-time 24 Hours of Le Mans class winner will race for the total season with the American team in his custom 963 with Tijmen van der Helm replacing Richard Westbrook, who retired as a driver at the top of last season.
They will probably be joined by 2023/24 Formula E world champion Pascal Wehrlein within the season-opening 24 Hours of Daytona on January 25-26 within the GTP class.
IndyCar driver Bryce Aron was also within the automobile when the primary entry list for Daytona was released in December, together with confirmation of the total JDC-Miller lineup for the IMSA curtain raiser expected in the approaching days.
Bruni is leaving the privately owned Porsche Proton Competition, with which he has raced within the IMSA and World Endurance Championships for the past two seasons, during which he had no seat on the Porsche works team.
The 43-year-old Italian took part within the official IMSA test at Daytona in November with JDC-Miller.

Bruni added that he’s “very motivated” and “expects great results” with the team in 2025.
In 2023, he competed within the second half of the WEC and IMSA series with Proton before turning his attention to North America last season.
It is feasible that he’ll give you the option to proceed working with Proton within the WEC this 12 months.
The German team has thus far only confirmed the participation of Neel Jani, one other former Porsche works driver, in its 2025 world championship.
The second 963 will probably be fielded within the five endurance races that make up the IMSA Endurance Cup, fairly than the total schedule.
