The BMW was fastest and set fastest times in three sessions throughout the official Roar test ahead of this weekend's season-opening 24 Hours of Daytona IMSA SportsCar Championship.
Dries Vanthoor's time of 1.35.424 seconds at Daytona International Speedway on the opening day aboard the No. 24 Rahal BMW M Hybrid V8 LMDh was the most effective time of the three-day test, during which GTP class machines took to the track in six sessions.
The Belgian's time within the second session of the Roar before the Rolex 24 outpaced Nick Yelloly within the #93 Meyer Shank Racing Acura ARX-06 LMDh on Friday in the identical period by 1m35.619s.
Acura also finished third in combined times, tied with Tom Blomqvist on Shank #60 courtesy of a 1:35.827 s within the opening session earlier within the day.
The BMW was fastest in each daylight sessions on Saturday, with the #25 Rahal taking the lead, with Marco Wittmann leading within the morning and Sheldon van der Linde taking first place within the afternoon.
Porsche was fastest within the night session with Laurens Vanthoor within the #7 963 LMDh driven by the Porsche Penske Motorsport works squad.
Neel Jani's Proton Competition Porsche customer was fastest within the wet during Sunday's only open session for GTP class machines. The running of the ultimate GTP test session was delayed by over two hours attributable to heavy rain and lightning within the region.
Lamborghini finished fourth in combined time with a time of 1:36.041s achieved by Romain Grosjean in the person factory SC63 LMDh within the second session.
Van der Linde, who clocked 1:36.093 seconds in the identical period, a tenth advantage over his best lead to the fourth session, put the number 25 BMW in fifth place overall.
Atmosphere in Daytona
Gianmaria Bruni finished sixth within the #85 JDC-Miller MotorSports Porsche with a time of 1:36.182s within the opening session.
Laurens Vanthoor's 1:36.271 on Saturday night powered the No. 7 Porsche to seventh ahead of Earl Bamber within the No. 31 Action Express Racing Cadillac V-Series.R LMDh.
Rounding out the highest ten were Mathieu Jaminet within the #6 PPM PPM Porsche and Filipe Albuquerque within the #10 Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac.
The LMP2 class was led by the Crowdstrike Racing ORECA-Gibson 07 team from Algarve Pro Racing, where Malthe Jakobsen achieved the most effective test results of 1:38.673 s within the opening session.
Ben Hanley was just over tenth with a time of 1:38.806 within the No. 2 United Autosports ORECA.
Andrea Caldarelli led the GT Daytona Pro within the No. 9 Pfaff Motorsports Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 with a time of 1:47.626 seconds.
Reigning class champion Laurin Heinrich finished second at school within the AO Racing Porsche 911 GT3-R with a time of 1:47.775 seconds.
Lamborghini also took first place in GTD with the Forte Racing Huracan, during which Franck Perera achieved a time of 1:48.036 seconds.
Qualifying for the 24 Hours of Daytona has been moved back to race week after 4 years of being held on Roar weekend.
Qualifying sessions happen on Thursday afternoon, the primary day of track racing during race week.
