Alpine F1 Academy drivers Florsch and Pulling entered the ladies's test at Nissan

Alpine Formula 1 Academy drivers Sophia Florsch and Abbi Pulling will get their first taste of Formula E machinery after they participate in the ladies's test with Nissan next month.

Pre-season testing for the upcoming campaign will begin on the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia from November 4 to 7, with the ultimate afternoon session dedicated to women drivers.

Teams shall be required to run at the very least one driver, but are encouraged to field two in the most recent Gen3 Evo cars, with Florsch and Pulling chosen by Nissan to conduct testing.

Florsch has spent the last two seasons racing in Formula 3, with a recent campaign with Van Amersfoort Racing through which she didn’t rating a degree, joining the Alpine Academy program in 2023.

She previously competed within the European Le Mans Series and competed within the 24 Hours of Le Mans 3 times between 2020 and 2022.

“I'm very excited to drive a state-of-the-art Formula E car,” said the 23-year-old German, who has been critical of all-women's championships previously, including the W Series.

“It shall be a totally different event to my previous motorsport experiences, but I'm at all times interested by trying latest things.

“I'm very motivated to get essentially the most out of testing and provides my all to assist the team prepare for Season 11.

“I will spend time in the simulator to be as prepared as possible for the match against Valencia and to give my all. I can't wait to get out there and take advantage of this incredible opportunity.”

Pulling shall be a test for Nissan as the present points leader within the all-female F1 Academy championship, after taking seven wins from 10 races in her second season with Rodin.

The 21-year-old Briton also worked part-time in British F4 this term, taking one victory at Brands Hatch.

“I have wanted to drive a Formula E car for a long time, so the opportunity to test the Nissan e-4ORCE 05 is a dream,” said Pulling, who joined Alpine's Academy in 2023.

“I’m very excited to tackle the challenge of learning methods to operate a automotive under the supervision of the Nissan team.

“There is quite a bit to learn and much more to master, so we’ll take it one step at a time.

“It's a completely different environment than what I'm used to, but the focus is on doing what the team asks me to do and enjoying a productive test together.”
