Edoardo Mortara related to DTM Return with Lamborghini

Edoardo Mortara is able to return to DTM in 2025, six years after the last season within the category, understands motorport.com.

The Swiss driver looks just like the partner of the DTM Mirko Bortolotti champion at ABT this 12 months after the team from Audi to Lamborghini machines in winter.

This is as a result of the confirmation of the Italian manufacturer that Mortar will “join the GT3 program from Lamborghini in the remaining 2025”.

Mortara joined Lamborghini as a factory driver in 2024 to race with the brand new prototype LMDH SC63 LMDH within the World Endurance championships, however the participation of Marque within the Hypercar class ended after one season, leaving it without full prototype.

Although Mortara was introduced on the last weekend of Daytona 24 hours, it will not be included within the Lamborghini composition by the remaining of the campaign within the strength match of the Sportscar IMSA championships.

SSR will not be expected to be continued in DTM in 2025, which makes ABT a probable selection of Mortar's dtm return.
