The Luxembourger, who will turn 26 on Christmas Eve, was attempting to keep his place at M-Sport. Munster will once more work with Belgian pilot Louis Louka.

This 12 months, each players have shown incredible speed of their first full season in the highest flight, highlighted by fifth-place finishes in Sardinia, Central Europe and Japan.

“I'm really looking forward to next year and the opportunity to lead Puma again, especially with the good team structure and atmosphere at M-Sport,” Munster said.

“I’m delighted to proceed working with Louis with the aim of continuous our progress in the highest category and improving on where we left off in 2024.

“Of course, that means aiming to break the top five with a fourth place overall and hopefully eventually a podium finish. I'm excited to see what we can do.”

M-Sport team principal Richard Millener is looking forward to Munster and Louka taking the subsequent step of their WRC careers with the team.

“I really enjoyed working with Gregoire and Louis this year, so seeing them again in 2025 is a big positive for me,” Millener said.

“They have made tremendous progress throughout their debut 12 months, and while we must remain realistic about our goals and expectations for them in 2025, that is a terrific opportunity for them. I'm very blissful to work with them again for one more full season and I consider they fully deserve this chance.

While Munster ensures M-Sport's continuity until 2025, its second seat will likely be filled by a brand new face following Adrien Fourmaux's decision to affix Hyundai Motorsport.

The team said the identity of the second driver can be revealed tomorrow.

“As we enter 2025, Munster and Louka will lead the M-Sport squad alongside another promising junior crew, which will be announced tomorrow,” a team statement read.
