This suggested a desire to return to the WEC SC63 with the road “Riving at the highest level is an honor for the Lamborghini Squadra Corse and remains an ambition for years to come.”
The Italian manufacturer added that the withdrawal from the WEC will allow it to “focus its efforts” on the event of the GT3 racing version of the brand new Temerario presented in the summertime, which is predicted to succeed in customers in 2026.
Lamborghini has not made clear how it should approach its IMSA campaign, which this 12 months has focused on the series' endurance rounds, starting with the 12 Hours of Sebring in March.
No mention was product of Iron Lynx, which also ran the IMSA program this 12 months after switching from Lamborghini to Mercedes for its LMGT3 campaign within the 2025 WEC.
