As midnight strikes world wide on Thursday evenings, Gran Turismo 7 players discover that a brand new set of weekly challenges can be found to them.
Weekly Challenges consist of a curated set of 5 events, largely drawn from existing World Circuits races, but occasionally (and more often in recent weeks) featuring a special event created only for a seven-day window. You'll receive bonus rewards for completing these events throughout the week they're available.
This week is one such special event, a one-make challenge for the single-seater BAC Mono road automobile, inbuilt Liverpool, UK. You may recognise the automobile from the special one-hour challenge in The Human Comedy Missions, but this can be a short five-lap race for the Mono. Apart from the automobile itself, the necessities for the race at Brands Hatch GP Circuit are few and much between, but don't go overboard with the upgrades, because the win is value just 65,000cr.
Still, it's the third-highest payout this week. The Sunday Cup Classic in Tsukuba, a three-lap event for road cars, is value 25,000cr to win, and because it's open to absolutely anything, you shouldn't feel too guilty about smurfing it to get it over with.
Another relatively low cost event is the Japanese Clubman Cup 550 on the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. This is one other three-lap event, however the prizes are only 30,000cr, which may be very little considering the length of the race. You will need a Road or Professionally Tuned automobile from Japan for the race, however the 550PP within the event name is only a suggestion, not a limit.
Kyoto Driving Park Yamagiwa is prepared for a five-lap Porsche Cup race. As the name suggests, it’s open to all Porsche vehicles, but this time there may be a Performance Point limit of 650PP. There aren’t any other restrictions, so the way you earn that PP rating is as much as you, but if you happen to win, you’ll receive 70,000cr.
The World Touring Car 800 at Fuji International Speedway stays. This is a mixed conditions race for cars fitted with racing tyres and as much as the 800 PP limit. There is not any guarantee of rain, but more often than not after we run this ten-lap race there might be a minimum of a light-weight drizzle sooner or later, so be certain that you have got Intermediate and Wet tyres (although full Wets aren’t often required) available on your automobile if you should win the 140,000cr winner's prize.
Completion rewards are a bit more varied this week. There are tickets value 100,000 cr and 200,000 cr for completing one and three events respectively — and remember, you'll must redeem them within the Gifts section of your Garage so as to add the credits to your in-game checking account. Completing all five rewards you with an everyday Six-Star Roulette ticket, which will likely be value 500,000 cr, although it will possibly offer you other rewards.
You must complete GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watch the ultimate cinematic to access the Weekly Challenges. Events update at midnight local time on Thursday evenings/Friday mornings, so we expect the subsequent set to go up on Friday, August sixteenth morning.
