Sergio Perez will remain Max Verstappen's teammate at Red Bull Formula 1 after the summer break, in response to Motorsport.com.
The Mexican's future was one in every of the topics discussed at a team management meeting on Monday, which was attended by team principal Christian Horner and advisor Helmut Marko.
While the official results of the team meeting have yet to be announced, Motorsport.com understands that Horner has addressed team staff on the Milton Keynes factory to tell them that Perez might be within the automotive when the 2024 season resumes with the Dutch Grand Prix in late August.
Like his team-mate Verstappen, who has won seven Grands Prix to this point, Perez has struggled to extract probably the most performance from Red Bull's RB20.
And now, with Red Bull's pace advantage eroding, Perez's problems since May have opened the door for McLaren to challenge for the title, with the Woking-based team 42 points adrift in the general standings.
After one other difficult Sunday for Perez in Belgium, which saw him drop from second on the grid to eighth after which move as much as seventh following the disqualification of George Russell, his probabilities of staying with the team have diminished. However, it looks just like the 34-year-old has been rescued and will improve his form.

On Sunday evening, Horner said: “The frustrating thing is that no one desires to see Checo struggle. Everybody wants him to succeed since it hurts to see him in that situation.
“Nobody wants to make that decision, of course you talk about it every day. But in the team we want it to go ahead.”
After one other frustrating race, Perez said he was fed up with responding to constant rumours about his future.
“I think there's too much going on in the team and we have to focus on a lot of things. We can't waste energy on all this speculation,” he said.
“This is the last time I'm going to talk about the future, so just to make it clear to everyone, I'm not going to talk anymore. I'm not going to answer any more questions about the future.”
